Hi, I’m Wayne and I joined the PYP team in 2019 when we delivered an amazing Anti-Gun & Knife Crime Project in the Lozells area of Birmingham, which was funded by the Police and Crime Commissioners Office. I bring to PYP my great passion and experience in music and creativity. I am a Reggae artist, renowned for being a Singer, Song Writer, Producer and Music Technician. I have had the great privilege of being involved in many events both on and off stage, in various arena’s across the globe. With the many talented young people centred around the West Midlands, I have no doubt that my experience in the music industry will be of great value to those who would like to pursue a career in music and share their creative gifts, talents and abilities to wider audiences.

Hi, I'm Sharon and my background is in health & social care. I've got over a decade of experience in public care services and enjoy working with families across the City. In addition to this, I am also a self-employed florist. I create flower decorations for all occasions but specialise in funeral tributes. I have worked as part of the PYP team over the past 7 years and enjoy every minute of helping to make a difference in the lives of young people. 

Hi, I'm Nailah and I nearly lost my 16 year old son to a violent knife attack. It is one experience that no mother should ever have to go through which is why I joined with PYP to help spread the message about the dangers surrounding knife crime. After the nightmare that me and my family went through, my major interest now is to help to prevent other young people from losing their lives by educating them through my 'lived experience' in a hope that it will deter them from a life of crime. 

Hi, I'm Craig and I am the father of a victim of serious youth crime. My teenage son's life was taken following a violent knife incident within a busy West Midlands town centre in broad daylight. My mission now is to help prevent other father's, mother's and young people from having to suffer the pain that me and my family have undergone. Working with PYP is amazing because it provides me with both the opportunity and platform to educate families on a topic that I have become an expert in through 'lived experience' rather than by choice. 

Hi, I'm Aaron and my background is in Health & Fitness. My experience dates back as far as working as an assistant manager and head personal trainer for Lord Sebastian Coe's health Clubs. I am also a music artist and producer with my own recording studio in the West Midlands, which is available to up-coming and experienced artists to help develop & facilitate their creative abilities. I have been a part of the PYP team since 2013 where I have been able to offer young people my expertise in physical activities. However, my passion for music and my music studio, further enables me to home in on their creative abilities, which is something that they always show great interest in.   

Hi, I'm Trevor and I am a freelance photographer with over 20 years experience in the trade. I also have a passion for young people so working with PYP over the years has enabled me to put what I love into practice. Being a part of the youth projects and community outreach events gives me a great sense of satisfaction when capturing photographic moments of the team and the families that can be treasured for a lifetime. Also being able to share my expertise with the young attendees who are interested in the field of photography, is extremely rewarding to say the least.  

Hi, I'm Fitz and I have over 30 years experience of working as a Youth Practitioner within the public and private sector. I have a wealth of experience of working with YOT, PRU's, Children Services, Schools and Youth Centre's. I am also an experienced freelance DJ with decades of events under my belt, including weddings, funerals, christenings and birthday parties. I joined the PYP Team in 2019 and have enjoyed my time ever since. I am extremely proud and privileged to be able to offer my years of knowledge and experience in both fields to such a great community cause. 

Hi, I'm Richard, also known as DJ Valentine. I've been working in the entertainment industry for over 3 decades now. I have DJ'd on a local, national and international level, at all types of celebrations including; weddings, school proms, funerals, concerts, festivals, corporate and charity events. I play a variety of genres for all ages and backgrounds. I have been extremely privileged to work as part of the PYP community outreach team, to help inspire and motivate young people & families, particularly in the area of gun and knife crime prevention. 

Hi, I'm Olive and I am a self-employed event specialist with many years of experience under my belt. I have been involved with many celebration gatherings over the years, ranging from fundraisers to corporate events. My specialism is venue decoration, so being able to work alongside PYP with their numerous annual community outreach events is a very exciting venture and even more so because it is an organisation that is fighting against gun & knife crime within the city of Birmingham. 

Hi, I'm Peter and I am a self-employed photographer. I have over a decade of experience of photography within social, public & private arenas. Working with PYP involves exciting ventures such as; photography shoots for youth activities, awards ceremonies, seminars. & conferences. Having the opportunity to work with a not-for-profit organisation that is fighting for a worthy cause is extremely satisfying, and when you add passion, commitment and dedication to the package, it makes it even more rewarding to be a part of the team.    

Hi, I'm Garrington and I have worked within the entertainment industry for over 30 years. This has included; Event Hosting, Master of Ceremony & DJing. My combined love for entertaining people and playing music has always been my passion and since music is loved by so many people, it fully complements the family support work I also have the privilege of delivering on a day-to-day basis. Working with young people over the years, has given me a great sense of satisfaction and an even stronger desire to remain a part of the PYP community outreach team, that is bringing positive change to family lives.
